A renowned orchestra and choir set out on an extensive European tour in 2024. As the tour extended through the year, the group explored the option of chartering a flight to streamline logistics. After evaluating costs and time efficiency, they determined that chartering a flight from Sweden to Germany would be the most effective solution to ensure a smooth transition between performances.
A Boeing 737-800, capable of accommodating 189 passengers, including musicians and crew, was booked 3-4 months in advance through a Travel Management Company (TMC) on behalf of the tour organiser.
The logistics of organising a charter flight presented several key considerations. Clear communication was crucial to ensure all aspects of the journey ran smoothly. The group had specific dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, and lactose-intolerant meal options. Additionally, the safe transport of over 30 high-value musical instruments—such as cellos and violins—was paramount. The tour organiser also requested a custom announcement from the crew, as well as branded napkins and coasters to enhance the onboard experience.
